Extractors:
The extractor is essentially a spring-loaded claw that snaps over and into the rim of the cartridge case. Its job is to pull a fired case out of the chamber. One extreme symptom of faulty extraction is that the gun fires and the bolt comes back, and the case is still in the chamber.

Ejectors:
The ejector is essentially a spring-loaded pin that forcibly pushes of the base of the cartridge case. Its job is to eject a fired case out of the ejection port of the firearm after it's been extracted out of the chamber. One extreme symptom of faulty ejector is that the gun fires, the bolt comes back, and the case remains attached to the bolt without ejecting.

Springs:
Each time a component is replaced, you should always replace the small associated springs. They are low cost and an effective way to prevent additional issues from arising through extended use.

Firing Pin:
The Firing pin is the direct contact between your firearm and chambered ammunition. One extreme symptom of a damaged or worn firing pin is that the gun does not fire after the trigger is pulled. After doing ACTS and PROVE, if you were to eject the cartridge, the primer would not show any signs of a firing pin strike or the firing pin strike would be very shallow in depth.

Retaining Pins:
On the Raven, threaded retaining pins hold magazine release and bolt catch buttons. Special retaining pins also hold the extractor in place on the pistol caliber bolts.

Take Down Pins:
The specialty take down pins could become lost in the field while cleaning. Ensure you always have a spare or two just in case!

Buffer Retainer:
The buffer retainer captures and holds the buffer weight and buffer spring inside the buffer tube. Through extended use it is possible for the buffer weight to bend or damage this retainer.

5.56 Bolt Assembly:
The bolt assembly is the most hard working component in your firearm. It locks and unlocks the bolt into battery in the chamber and handles the majority of the heavy firing pressures. Through extended use it is possible that the locking lugs could become broken or damaged. The bolt could also break at the cam pin hole. If any issue was to arrive, having a spare fully assembled bolt with all the associated parts gets you back up and running within seconds without needing a single tool. The fully assembled bolt also replaces the majority of other wear parts on your rifle at the exact same time.
