12GA STATAS - Deployment

The STATAS was designed from the ground up to be an all in one Sentry Tactical Automatic Trip Alarm System. This tiny device can be deployed automatically when rigged as a trip alarm, or fire manually. The STATAS fits in small pockets, and can be quickly and safely deployed in seconds to fire emergency flares or bear bangers.

Prior to device use, you should practice charging and releasing the spring as well as gently releasing the spring tension incase you wish to abort firing while the device is under spring tension.
Never use this device or any other device if you do not know what you are doing!

How to Prepare the STATAS for Emergency Manual Deployment
Simply insert the compatible Flare, Primer Adapter or Bear Banger of your choice.

Step 1: Hold the device as far away from your body as possible

Step 2: Point in the safest available direction and pull down on the attached pull ring.

Step 3: Once the launching spring is fully compressed, release the pull ring and the STATAS will do the rest.

If at anytime you wish to STOP WITHOUT FIRING, gently release spring tension and unload the device.

How to Prepare the STATAS for Trip Wire Deployment
When setting up a perimeter, ensure the STATAS is fully unloaded.

Step 1: Attach UNLOADED STATAS to tree (or similar fixed point) at the appropriate height for animals you wish to be alerted of. Keep in mind if the wire is too high or low, certain animals could walk over or under without deployment. For optimal perimeter security we recommend to setup multiple STATAS devices at different heights on all sides of your encampment.

Ensure you orientate the STATAS to fire upwards for flares (ONLY IF SAFE TO DO SO) or downwards for blanks.
Ensure the STATAS is never pointed in an unsafe direction such as a human or animal, building or road
.

.209 Shotgun primers in the Hybrid Adapter are the safest and should be used in treed areas and near your campsite to mitigate fire hazard risks.

Step 2: Connect trip wire to a secondary tree (or similar fixed point). Ensure the trip wire is parallel with the ground and at the correct height.

Step 3: Once the trip wire is set, Pull on the attached Pull Ring and insert the trip pin into the desired strength hole. Ensure that the trip wire is not snagged on any objects to allow for perfect deployment.

4) Once setup and safe, insert flare or blank; the STATAS is ready for use.
