12GA STATAS - Camp Setup

trip

When choosing a camp location keep in mind what trees or fixed posts are around for you to mount your STATAS devices to.

Imagine you are sleeping in the tent as indicated in the example. The red lines indicate that you have (4) STATAS units setup. One per side of the camp site which is an optimal setup.

The black rings indicate different distances from your camp to where the STATAS units are setup.

If a grizzly bear was to approach near your camp, would you want to have the protection system deploy as the grizzly is smelling your boots from outside your tent?

Or would you rather be alerted of a large predator while they are still 50ft, 100ft , 150ft, 200ft etc away from your site?

The further the STATAS alarm is setup, the more time you'll have to wake up, grab your gear and orientate yourself to the threat.

Added protection can be increased by setting up multiple systems are various ranges.
